Adanac Appoints New Chairman and CEO
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 1, 2009) - Adanac Molybdenum Corporation ("Adanac" or the "Company") (TSX:AUA)(PINK SHEETS:AUAYF)(FRANKFURT:A9N) is pleased to announce that, effective March 30, 2009, the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Christopher C. Kirby to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Kirby was previously the Company's Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In addition, Mr. Roger P. Taylor, a director of Adanac, has been appointed Chairman of the Company.

Also effective March 30, 2009, Mr. Peter R. Jones resigned as Director, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company to pursue other career opportunities. Adanac extends its gratitude to Mr. Jones for his services and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
