Doctors Join Pharmacists in Recommending COLD-FX(R) as Top Choice Among Natural Cold Remedies According to Medical Post Survey

The results of a survey by one of Canada's leading medical publications show that COLD-FX(R) is the number-one natural cold remedy recommended by Canadian doctors. The results coincide with a similar national survey of Canadian pharmacists.
The inaugural online survey conducted by the Medical Post, called "The 2008 Survey on OTC Counselling & Recommendations," was conducted during last fall's cold and flu season and the results are featured in a news story in the publication's current issue. A total of 756 physicians participated in the online survey between Sept. 24 and Nov. 21, 2008. The survey has a margin of error of +/-3.5%, 19 times out of 20.
The results of the survey form the basis of a comprehensive report on the over-the-counter (non-prescription) market. The report measures doctors' opinions and behaviours on counselling patients for nonprescription medications, and reveals which OTC brands doctors most often recommend to patients.
In a similar national survey of pharmacists, Drugstore Canada's "2008 Survey on OTC Counselling and Recommendations," released earlier this year, COLD-FX was ranked as the #1 pharmacist-recommended natural cold remedy for the fourth straight year.
