Reloading

posted on Aug 09, 08 11:22AM

I have spent the last couple of weeks, reloading up on APH around the $.30 level. It seems like a gift to be buying at these low share prices, but its obviously the sign of the times in the current market environment. The summer months are always a slow time, but this year with the troubles in the US financial markets, its worse than normal. I remember loading up on APH shares last summer at the $.17 level, so at current share prices of $.31, the stock has almost doubled in the last year. How many other stocks in your portfolio have appreciated 100% in the last year?

Many of us have been complaining about the lack of news releases from APH, but the reality of the situation is, I'm glad Owens has held off. It doesn't seem to matter how good news releases are lately, from stocks on the TSX-v, they get sold shortly after the initial share price run up anyways. Why waste good news when its obvious it will do nothing for your share price? However I think the TSX-v is very close to being at the bottom, if not already there. I expect to see a bounce in the TSX-v shortly, as it appears way over sold.

On deck for APH we can expect to see a US listing shortly. Hopefully this is followed up by news of marketing agreements with retail stores. Just imagine we will shortly be seeing APH products on our drug and grocery store shelves. It has been a long wait for those of us that have followed this story for the past year. But we are ohh so close. Actual sales revenues will silence the critics when it comes to quarterly reports. This will be the turning point in APH's developement. Every quarter the sales grow, so will APH's share price. We go from being a start up stock, to a growth stock. Exciting, when you sit down and think about it.

The US listing will give us a new group of investors to tap into. Start up pharma companies always seem to get a better reception south of our border, they seem to understand these types of companies better than we do on the Canadian side. In Canada we we are more biased to investing into the resource sector for some reason.

For those sitting on the sidelines, my best advice is to get in now when the getting in is still cheap. This stock is very near to turning the corner. It's show time for APH !!! JMHO
