So, Almaden has around $20M in cash and marketable securities right now. Their current market cap is somewhere right around $70M. They are currently receiving just $50M for all of these joint ventures, including blue sky potential? It just doesn't seem feasible at all to me.
The firm seems to be making the right decisions and sitting on several potential company-maker properties! I picked up shares late last week as well as today. My hope is that they start looking at monetizing a property or two, as it could show the market how much their other properties are potentially worth.
The junior gold market is ripe for a turnaround and I believe relatively soon (Sept?). It's always tough to buy when everything seems negative, but when you look at #'s like the ones above, you must decide, is Almaden really only worth less than $50M for what they've created throughout this gold bull market? These are not johnny-come-latelys, but rather world-class engineers. One day the market will wake up, and rather abrupdtly to the assets we hold at Almaden.
And when this happens, there is a seriously tight share structure so these shares will rocket, and it'll be fun. I look forward to increased communication, and hope those with some foresight see this as the opportunity that I see it as!
Good luck.
Mike
