Dichotomy - short term vs long term

Ben Bernake speech and a dollar rally. Seriously if interest rates are not going to decrease or even increase - is the dollar going to strengthen against other currencies? No way with a deficit that is ever increasing, recession, sub prime crisis and increase in unemployment.

Drop in gold prices are so short term and is an excellent entry point. Looking beyond the next six months (i.e Nov 08 elections) Jim Sinclair prediction might be sooner than later.

Irrespective of the candidate there would be a december rally indicating a change in White house. Perhaps it would be a good rally if the consumer spending matches the same quarter 07.

Nevertheless come 2009 and todays price of gold at 860 is CHEAP.
