May I add that lately the Dollar strength has been good for gold and Dollar weakness has been bad for gold. There clearly is no longer any positive influence of USD weakness on the gold price.

Plus, I believe the Dollar may domestically lose purchasing power, but the Euro will lose purchasing power more rapidly. After all, many Eurozone countries are on the brink of bankruptcy or at least failure of their financial system.
