Energy prices aren't helping alternatives. I remember catching a blog post by Kedroski, he was warning investors of a collapse in oil prices perhaps as much as 60% (proven to be more than that), however one thing I took note of is when oil prices subside, people will use more of it. So regardless of what OPEC or the Oil producers do the cheaper market prices will lead people into Oil (when its cheap).

That hinders alternatives; theres a certain amount of money in energy, and when oil is cheap, most investors will flock to it. That leaves less for RnD, that leaves less for Wind, politicians will set plans to expand alternatives aside until oil peaks again.

I've lost a fair bit of money on Arise but I will still hold. There are a number of reasons but they have to do with time. I know that this company is not going belly up any time soon. In fact, everything I have seen from them shows growth. Well minus the stock price but what hasn't been affected????
