Still Highway Robbery

posted on Jul 25, 08 02:44PM

I have read every post since the offer. If mangement is well intended and have a strategy to bring on other bids, then it is clumsy at best, more likely very dishonest. Possible lawsuits out of cheap shares with a deal locked up, etc. Expectations are set by the first bid, so forget the final bid 100+% higher, at Safeharbour's lofty $25 value. That's just Safeharbour's rose colored glasses. A lot of theories but some actions speak louder. I will not repeat my previous arguments but will add that I have read all of Aurelian's releases and the recent one was the only one that sounded negative, (yes like a Soto article), painting a long time frame for any clarity, then...boom: The 'deal'. It is because of this article that I must consider Aurelian management dishonest, as they were trying to have people favour this deal. It was really 'bashing' Aurelian, straight from management. For those people who believe Aurelian must be bought higher, I remind you that Barrick may buy Kinross later as Otto suggested and any much better bid will be lucky, rather than farsighted management plan.

To a hard worker who is well intended: Safeharbour, I will apologize to you on this board if we get $20 cash or share value on closing day of deal due to management strategy working out.
