Says they are working closely with the Ecuador government and they expect the new code to be released THIS QUARTER and they expect it to be very competitive.....no problems. In fact he was very firm about by end of quarter, and stated that the French mining code will actually take longer (probably end of year).

Looks like there is more "political risk" in France.

Kinross.....good move to make the closing date in September. I am willing to bet that they knew the exact date the new code is coming out and the tender date is designed to be BEFORE everyone finds out how good it is.
