Benton Advises Shareholders of Trading Halt on Coro Mining

Thunder Bay, Ontario: Benton Resources Corp (BTC: TSX.V, "Benton" or "the Company") wishes to advise its shareholders that trading has halted for Coro Mining Corp. (COP: TSX, "Coro") pending a news announcement. Benton currently holds a 34.3% interest in Coro.

Benton currently has approximately $15.2 million in cash and in addition to holding various interests in a number of exploration projects, holds an approximate 5% interest in Marathon PGM Corp (TSX.MAR) and retains a 2% Net Smelter Royalty on the northern portion of the Marathon PGM deposit.

Clinton Barr (P.Geo.), V.P. Exploration for Benton Resources Corp., is the qualified person responsible for this release.
