Genetic predisposition

A family friend (in her 60s) just elected to have her ovaries removed because she was found with the genetic marker for ovarian cancer.

Her father died of cancer and her daughter also has been found to have the marker.

Her daughter does not want to have children but removing your ovaries when in your 20s can have hormonal side effects.

This family friend would be a good case for RECAF monitoring.

She would establish a baseline early in life and then any change could be investigated.

Unfortunately RECAF is not an option right now and she may elect to have her ovaries and uterus removed.

Sounds kind of like butchery to me. Where's RECAF when you need it?
