I do believe the lid needs to be kept on discoveries such as you pointed out. This is not the problem with this security however. There have been far too many forward looking statements here which are of course covered by the disclaimer clause. The problem here is generic statements made by the management of this company about progress, revenue streams, success of the product as far as marketing etc over a period of 5 years have never come to fruition. Remember words like soon, in a few months, over the next year and right around the corner because I do. Short on facts long on feel good projections and a lack of communication with shareholders is the problem. When I talk about facts I'm talking about the absent partner involvement with Abbot and Iverness in particular. You are absolutely correct about safe guarding intellectual property and I would not expect that kind of information to be disclosed to anyone. There is absolutely no excuse for not not answering most of the legitimate questions asked by many on here.
