Keith C. Hill
Position: Non Executive Chairman and Director

Previously Mr. Hill was founder, President and CEO of Valkyries Petroleum Corp., a publicly traded oil and gas company, since August 2002. Mr. Hill previously served as General Manager of Lundin Oil AB's operations in Malaysia and Sudan. Mr. Hill has over 22 years experience in the oil industry including international new venture management and senior exploration positions at Occidental Petroleum and Shell Oil Company. His education includes a Master of Science degree in Geology and Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics from Michigan State University as well as an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

John Festival
Position: President, C.E.O. and Director

John Festival graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 with a bachelor of Chemical Engineering. He has 24 years of business and management experience in heavy oil, most recently as president of BlackRock Ventures Inc.

Don Cook
Position: Chief Financial Officer

Don Cook CA, CFA, has over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry, most recently as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of BlackRock Ventures Inc. His work experience includes senior financial roles in both Canadian and US public companies.

Ed Sobel
Position: Vice President, Exploration

Ed Sobel graduated from the University of Calgary in 1990 with a B.Sc. in Geology. He has 18 years of experience as a heavy oil geologist, most recently as manager of geology at BlackRock Ventures Inc.

Chris Hogue
Position: Vice President, Operations

Chris Hogue graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering in 1992. He has 16 years of diversified heavy oil experience, most recently as manager of operations at BlackRock Ventures Inc.

Lukas H. Lundin
Position: Director

Born in 1958, Lukas Lundin was raised in Stockholm, Sweden and educated at the Ecole Internationale de Genève in Switzerland. In 1981, Mr. Lundin graduated from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (engineering).

At age 25 Mr. Lundin headed International Petroleum Corporation's extensive and rapidly growing international operations and was based in the Company's technical office in Dubai, U.A.E. for over 12 years. From 1990 to June 1995, Mr. Lundin was President of International Musto Exploration Limited and was responsible for Musto's acquisition of the Bajo de la Alumbrera deposit. Bajo de la Alumbrera was the subject of a $500 million takeover by Rio Algom and North Limited and is now one of the largest gold/copper producers in the world. Mr. Lundin was also responsible for Argentina Gold and the discovery of the multi-million ounce Veladero gold deposit. Veladero was the subject of a $300 million takeover by Homestake in 1999. In addition, Mr. Lundin was a senior Director of Lundin Oil AB and was instrumental in the $480 million takeover of Lundin Oil by Talisman Energy in 2001. Mr. Lundin is currently a Director of a number of publicly traded resource companies.

Brian D. Edgar
Position: Director

Mr. Edgar is a lawyer whom practiced corporate and securities law in Vancouver for 16 years. In 1992 Mr. Edgar, along with William A. Rand, established Rand Edgar Capital Corp. (succeeded by Rand Edgar Investment Corp.). Rand Edgar Investment Corp. is in the business of providing early stage venture capital to high growth companies and advisory services.
