As the financial situation devolves to a more stable state, Gold continues to look like the safe haven to be in. Bearing in mind that there are other shocks in the offing: The subprime mortgages are due for a rate adjustment apparently , Job numbers will not be good for the near future [I wonder if the big banks have another suprise for us somewhere?] .

The attempts at liquidity, will at best delay the inevitable. There will too much money in the system and ultimately ,I believe ,there will be inflation as we have never seen before.

CPQ has lots of gold and is currently at bargain prices.Just the place to park some hard earned cash .

Mr. Volcker is still with us . Perhaps he could administer the medicine at the appropriate time. This will be very distasteful but has to be done .
