Have you ever panned for gold ? I do when the rivers in british columbia are low enough. [my recovered gold is best veiwed with a powerful lense,it is that small. [7 x should do..]

I 'found' a big sand bar at spences bridge that had a layer of football sized rocks on top of it. Behind each rock was 1 or 2 or 3

flakes of gold. dont ask how much has washed over the sideof the pan. I could probably retire on it.

I couldnt take the cold [minus 3] and was also being bit by flies[ that really shook me,you would think they would be dead at this time of year..november]

Next spring the entire sand bar ,about 2 acres or so had gone down stream in the following spring flood...

one of the reasons gold is so expensive.
