I enjoy reading your posted articles. You must read a fair bit old son. I am going to take a look at some sandbars on the coquihalla river. The water is just now starting to drop here so we will see... This is downstream of the old carolin mine. It was a platinum mine I believe, but dont quote me on that. Last year I didnt find anything but some kind of black sand that was not magnetic. I was informed by a kindly geologist that it was most likely titanium oxide [?] or as it is better known ...leverite. As in ''leave 'er right there.'' He also commented in a nice way that my panning technique needed work. No suprise there.

So wish me luck as I will surely need it.
