SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Nov 7, 2007 -- Cardiac Network Inc. (Other OTC:CNWI.PK - News) today announced that they will launch the Heart ONE Club for Cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease patients.
This revolutionary and life-saving heart monitoring club, which will be launched by November 30, 2007, will allow patients to order HeartOne monitors directly from Cardiac Network. Until now heart monitors have only been available through prescriptions with long wait times, this new Heart ONE Club ensures all who own a monitor that they are never without help and can always have peace of mind even for the question, 'is this heartburn or is this a heart attack?'
HeartOne provides a better response in the event of cardiac emergency. Time is critical when having a heart attack, and most victims are experiencing crucial delays in their treatment, as death rates double within two hours of first symptoms. In the unfortunate event of a cardiac arrest, those who quickly get to the Emergency Room greatly increase their chances to survive and prevent irreversible heart damage.
Statistics show that uncertainty and delayed response in heart attacks are normal, as a whopping 65% of the victims take too long to get the required emergency treatment.
The Heart ONE Call Center is set-up to provide full services 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, and every day of the year in multi-language.
-- You will be able to speak with a trained technician anytime, 24/7, supported by a board certified cardiologist and paramedics
-- Your medical records and previous EKGs are stored in the Heart ONE Club database for immediate access and personal evaluation of your condition
-- After discussing your symptoms and reviewing your medical history, the technician may request a remote EKG using your easy-to-use personal monitor
-- Our staff adheres to symptom evaluation protocol and quality assurance measures designed by our Board and cardiologist
-- In cases of an emergency, our staff will work to mobilize the proper emergency care to help save your life
-- Our staff will stay on the line to help you through the emergency procedures and steps ahead
-- Immediately arrange for local ambulance
-- Notifies your regular physician and emergency contacts
-- Transfers EKG and relevant information to E.R. to expedite treatment and increase your survival chances
The monitors, which work anywhere and transfer data through any telephone or cellular device, will be available for a set up cost of $499 for the HeartOne device and the patients will pay a monthly monitoring cost of $49.99.
The company over the last few months has been preparing for this launch by developing its infrastructure, as noted in the company's press releases of Aug 23, 2007 "Cardiac Network Inc. Partners With Tierra Technology to Provide IT Infrastructure."
"This is a great day for patients suffering from heart disease as we are the first to offer such a service to heart patients across the country," stated Mr. Zev Helfer, President and CEO of Cardiac Network Inc. "Nobody should have to wait an extraordinary amount of time to receive one of our heart monitors. The American Heart Association guidelines suggest patients seek help within the first five minutes of feeling heart attack warning signs. Our hand held monitors can be relaying data to a registered cardiologist within seconds. Heart ONE can truly make the difference when every second counts."
Cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease are widespread, afflicting over 70 million people. Heart attacks are the single biggest killer in the United States alone. Each year, about 1.1 million Americans suffer a heart attack. About 460,000 of those heart attacks are fatal. Those figures could change dramatically if those people got to a hospital as fast as possible when a heart attack first happened.
