SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Feb 1, 2008 -- Cardiac Network Inc. (Other OTC:CNWI.PK - News) today announced that after a delay they will launch the HeartOne Club for Cardiovascular disease patients.
As previously released on November 7, 2007, this revolutionary and lifesaving heart monitoring club will allow patients to order HeartOne Club monitors directly from Cardiac Network. Until now heart monitors have only been available through prescriptions with long waiting times. The new HeartOne Club assures all who own a monitor that they will have 24/7 access to our cardiac monitoring services and professional staff.
Administrative and Infrastructure issues delayed the launch which was previously scheduled for November 30, 2007.
HeartOne Club provides a better option for evaluating cardiac related symptoms and in the event of a potential cardiac emergency. Statistics show that 65% of heart attack victims take too long to seek the required emergency treatment. This is mostly due to their uncertainty regarding whether symptoms are heart related or not. Time is critical as death rates double within two hours from experiencing the first symptoms of a heart attack. Those who quickly get to the Emergency Room, greatly increase their chances of survival and of preventing irreversible heart damage.
The HeartOne Club Call Center is set-up to provide full services 24-hours a day, 7-days a week and every day of the year.
-- You will be able to speak with a CCI Certified Technician, supported by a nurse practitioner and supervised by a board certified cardiologist available 24/7 in case of an emergency.
-- Your medical records and previous EKGs are securely stored in the HIPAA compliant HeartOne database for immediate access and individualized evaluation of your condition.
-- After discussing your symptoms and reviewing your medical history, the Cardiologist may request a remote EKG using your easy-to-use personal monitor. Medical staff adheres to symptom evaluation protocol and quality assurance measures designed by our Medical Advisory Board.
-- Our staff stays on the line to help you through the emergency procedures:
- Immediately arranges for a local ambulance
- Notifies your regular physician and emergency contacts
- Transfers EKG and relevant information to the Emergency Room to expedite treatment and increase your chances of survival
The monitors, that work anywhere and transfer data through a telephone, will be available for a one time set up cost of $499 for the HeartOne Club device. Then clients pay a monthly monitoring fee of $49.99.
"We apologize for the two month delay to launch the HeartOne Club. In order to serve our customers properly we needed to make some infrastructure changes that delayed the launch but, now we are prepared to serve patients suffering from or suspecting heart disease," stated Mr. Zev Helfer, President and CEO of Cardiac Network Inc.
Cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease are widespread, afflicting over 70 million people. Heart attacks are the single biggest killer in the United States alone. Each year, about 1.1 million Americans suffer a heart attack. About 460,000 of those heart attacks are fatal. These figures could change dramatically if those people got to a hospital as fast as possible when a heart attack first happened.
