VICTORIA, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Representing the largest order to date for Carmanah’s (TSX: CMH.TO - News) (Pink Sheets: CMHXF) solar outdoor lighting, valued at nearly $1M USD, Mexican officials have selected the EG-series solar LED outdoor lighting system for an outdoor area project. Carmanah’s solution, the powerful new standalone EG-series solar outdoor lights, met all performance requirements and provided the necessary economics; lower capital cost with new value based product, significant energy cost savings and eliminating the need for electrical cabling throughout the deployment. In addition, the product has been designed for superb vandalism and theft protection. The project was won jointly by Carmanah and local partner Semex, S.A. de C.V.
The Carmanah EG-series solar LED outdoor lighting portfolio is the company’s latest generation of reliable and cost-effective solar LED lighting products specifically designed for cost-sensitive and developing regions of the world. On November 30th, 2011, Carmanah launched the anticipated EG40 and EG80 solar outdoor lighting systems to service cost-sensitive and developing markets with high performance requirements.
