Carmax Explorations Ltd.: Proposed Rollback Abandoned

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 20, 2009) - On April 16, 2009 Carmax Explorations Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CMX) held a special general meeting of shareholders for the purpose of considering a resolution which would authorize a rollback of the Company's issued and outstanding share capital on a 10 for 1 basis. The special resolution failed to get the requisite votes of shareholders in order for the resolution to pass.

As a result, the Company's share capital will not be consolidated as proposed.

A second special resolution which would have authorized a change in corporate name was abandoned at the meeting.
