Chapleau Resources Ltd. - Regional Structural Association of the Mato Velho and Coringa Gold Mineralization Identified

VANCOUVER, Sept. 5 /CNW/ - Chapleau Resources Ltd. (CHI: TSX-V) has completed a 3,139.68 line-km airborne magnetic, gradiometric and radiometric geophysical survey over the Mato Velho and Coringa projects. Preliminary interpretations of the magnetic data confirm a 20 km north-trending structural zone with which the current northwest trending Coringa and Mato Velho gold mineralized shear zones are closely associated. The significance of other northwest, northeast and east trending structures on gold mineralization is currently being investigated. From the preliminary interpretation, at least 10, additional regional structures (greater than 3 km strike length) have been identified for follow-up exploration. The airborne magnetic, gradiometric and radiometric geophysical survey, drill hole data and geological mapping are now being used to focus the ground IP survey currently in progress at Coringa.
