Mr. Gendall has a Masters of Science in Exploration and Geology from Rhodes University, South Africa. Mr. Gendall and the Billiton exploration team in Ecuador are credited for the discovery and initial drilling of the porphyry copper-gold targets in the now known Corriente Porphyry Copper Belt. Mr. Gendall brings an extensive amount of exploration and managerial experience to Chapleau and will be leading the expansion of gold and copper projects in South America. Mr. Gendall is a member of the Company’s Environment and Safety Committee.
Mr. Stypula is a director of Chapleau and he has been the Chief Executive Officer since 1997. He is a self employed businessman and financier in the mining exploration industry, with over twenty years experience. Mr. Stypula is also a director of Far West Mining Ltd. and Magellan Minerals Ltd. He is a member of the Company & Compensation Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and Audit Committee.
Mrs. Sudo has over 20 years experience in the mining exploration industry, working for both major and junior companies, including six years with Cominco Exploration Ltd. (now Teck Cominco Limited) as Tenure Clerk Office Administrator. She has been performing a variety of duties with Chapleau since 1997 including: accounting services; reviewing accounting practices, procedures and internal controls; assisting auditors respecting year-end financial statements; overseeing the preparing of quarterly financial statements; complying with regulatory requirements; tenure management; and office administration.
Mr. Rella has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Victoria. Mr. Rella has been a director of Chapleau since 1997, and for the past six years, he has served as the Chairman of the Board. He is also the Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and the Environment and Safety Committee.
Since 1993, Mr. Wiltzen has been a director of Chapleau. During Mr. Wiltzen's time with Chapleau he also has served as Chief Financial Officer and President.
Mr. Hunziker has a M.A. degree in Economic History from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Hunziker spent 16 years with Wall Street firms, as a principal with Oppenheimer Company and as a partner of Bear Stearns Company. He is a member of the Company's Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Dr. Urquhart has over 30 years experience in geophysics and since January 2002,he has been the owner and general manager of GeoExplo Ltda. Dr. Urquhart has participated in projects as diverse as oil basin studies, mineral and diamond exploration and radioactive satellite fragment recovery, and he has been actively involved in the development of several Electromagnetic (EM) systems. He is a member of the Company's Environment and Safety Committee.
