Chris Berlet, CFA / President & CEO
Director

Chris Berlet is a graduate of Mining Engineering from Queen’s University and holds a Diploma in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a CFA charterholder. Mr. Berlet has experience in both finance and the mineral industries. He spent three years in London, England working with the capital markets group of Banque Paribas and was more recently ‘Senior Analyst, Risk Monitoring’ with HSBC Securities in Toronto, Canada. He has worked in underground gold and copper mines in both Canada and Australia, and in open pit coal and nickel mines in Canada and Australia.


Chris Chadder / Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Chadder is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience as a business advisor and senior officer to junior resource companies. Mr. Chadder will work with current management to enhance the company’s business development, financial compliance and financial reporting strategies.


John Van De Beuken / COO

John Van De Beuken has more than 40 years of experience building, commissioning and operating mines and metallurgical plants. He has been involved in development and commissioning of the Nevada Moly Mine for Anaconda Minerals, the McCoy Cove Mine for Echo Bay Minerals, the Garfield Smelter for Kennecott Copper Corporation, the Alumbrera Mine in Argentina and the Mulatos Gold Mine for Alamos Gold Inc. In the past few years he has consulted for various companies that have required assistance with M&A, due diligence, technical and management issues.


Rodney Blakestad, BSc (Geology) / Exploration Manager

Rodney Blakestad, P.Geo is a senior exploration and resource geologist with more than thirty years of North American and International experience. Mr. Blakestad has bulk tonnage gold deposit experience and was also responsible for discovery of the Fort Knox gold deposit, Alaska. Rodney has more than 12 years of history with both the La Jojoba and Lluvia de Oro gold deposits and surrounding area, and is a Certified Professional Geologist in good standing.

Ms. Byne has been involved in the mining industry in various capacities for the past 35 years.

Jim Boyle, LLB / Director

Mr. Boyle is the founding partner of Boyle & Co. LLP, where he practices exclusively in the area of securities law.

Mr. Boyle studied mathematics at the University of Waterloo, obtained his B.A. in Film from York University and studied Economics at York University’s Glendon College. He also attended University of Windsor Law School and was called to the bar in Ontario in April, 1987. In 1998 he received his LL.M. in securities law from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Mr. Boyle founded Boyle & Co. LLP in 2003. He is a past director and member of the Securities Committee of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.


Gerald Harper / Director

Dr. Harper holds a B.Sc. and a B.Sc. (Hons) as well as a Ph.D. in geology from the University of London in England and is a past President of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada as well as a past Chair of the PDAC Environment Committee. Dr. Harper has served on several boards of directors including those of Urania Ltd., Mustang Minerals Ltd., US Precious Metals Ltd., Khan Resources Inc. and Geddes Resources Ltd. He has had a career as a professional geologist spanning almost forty years and has held exploration management positions with South Africa C.S.I.R., Anglo American Corporation, Falconbridge Ltd. and Northgate Exploration Ltd.


Gary Lohman / Director

Mr. Lohman is a professional geologist and has been in the mining industry for over 25 years. Mr. Lohman has worked extensively throughout North and South America and is presently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Canuc Resources Corporation.


John Paterson, M.Sc., P.Eng. / Director

Mr. Paterson brings with him a diversity of experience gained with both major and junior mining companies. He is currently serving as president of Aurogin Resources Ltd. which, over the past year, has developed a producing heap leach gold mine in Guatemala. Prior to joining Aurogin, Mr. Paterson was CEO of Geomaque Explorations Ltd. where he directed the development of two heap leach gold mines, the San Francisco gold mine located near NWM’s Lluvia-Jojoba project in Sonora, Mexico and the Vueltas Del Rio gold mine located in Honduras. Mr. Paterson also serves on the boards of Plato Gold Corp., Everton Resources Ltd. and McVicar Resources Inc.


John Van De Beuken / Director

Mr. Van De Beuken is a mining engineer with over forty years of mine building and management experience. He most recently served as a director of Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX: AGI) and from 2003 through 2008 served as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity he was instrumental in management and start-up of the very successful Mulatos gold mine in Sonora State, Mexico. John has also recently served as a consultant to the Board of Directors of Castle Gold Corp., in the period prior to the Company’s sale to Argonaut Gold Inc.
