I am not surprised. Operating in Nunavut almost seems a guarantee for a takeover bid;



  1. Echo Bay Mines, acquired by Kinross in 2003
  2. WMC Resources, acquired by BHP in 2005
  3. Cumberland Resources, acquired by Agnico Eagle in 2007
  4. Miramar Mining, acquired by Newmont Mining in 2008
  5. Comaplex, 16% of shares alread bought by Agnico Eagle. Takeover seems a matter of time.

I keep looking for listed junior miners in that area, but haven't found any so far. All seem to be in the hands of the big ones already. Anyone...?
