Follow-up from Person in Courtroom.....GRZ Yahoo Board

posted on Feb 10, 09 08:15AM

His post today:

Comment - From the action in the courtroom last Wednesday it was pretty obvious that this would happen. The judge's questions and comments were generally framed in such a way that you could tell that he was thinking only about how long the injunction should be for or what type of injunction, etc. It was made even more obvious by the fact that the judge was clearly more interested in what the GRZ lawyers were saying. The Blakes lawyer for Rusoro knew that he wasn't going to get what he wanted and really just did a decent job of going through the motions.

I didn't post these observations in advance of the judgment coming out because I was concerned that if they were to get back to the judge (maybe via a Rusoro lawyer) and I appeared to be advertising what the judge was thinking--hmm, might not have made the judge too happy.

Could well now hurt GRZ stock price but at least they'll get the bulk of their legal bill paid.

And Rusoro? With all the added costs of this now-aborted merger I wouldn't be surprised if they go under before we ever get to any trial.
