Good point.....

Interesting--- RML has stopped selling their Gold ---

Ended the quarter with $57 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments with 35,374 ounces of gold warehoused and secured in country (45,356 ounces at Nov. 25, 2009).

It probably has something to do with this little fact further down...

Average realized gold
price $(4) n/a n/a 686 n/a n/a 676

It seems that someone in Ven (probably the CB) is taking their cut so RML is just sitting on the gold rather than selling it for a discount. Of course the question then remains; is that unsold gold being valued as income at the actual spot price or at the discounted price. That could make a real difference to profitabilty.

It also raises the question of why they are holding the gold? Do they expect a change in the law or the government that will enable them to sell this gold at the full international market price in the near future? If not, what are they holding it for?

So many questions but so few answers.
