Russian JV runs Las Cristinas

Crystallex's plans have been trumped by President Hugo Chavez after its trying for years to develop the huge Las Cristinas gold mine. Corp Venezolana de Guayana, a state-mining consortium, has formed a joint venture with Rusoro Mining Ltd, a Russian-controlled company, to operate Las Cristinas, with production starting this year.
