I agree with what you say if logic was in play but what im afraid of is Chevez wants to be Castro.Castro had the USSR to suppliment his lack of resources to fund his "revolution",Chevez has oil..As long as Chevez has customers willing to buy his heavy oil,gold minning takes a back seat.Even though oil prices are much lower than they were a few years ago,he still gets enough to finance the "revolution". What i cant understand is why does the educated population not see what is going on? Im not sure if they are just a bunch of sheep that need a sheppard to lead them or what the problem is. We in North America seem to be much more individualist and not willing to jump off the cliff without asking questions.Its good to see university students protesting,but were is the adult population,sitting at home in the dark shaking?
