China gives environmental approval from PetroChina and PDVSA refinery

Beijing .- China on Thursday gave initial approval to a refinery joint venture
between PetroChina Co Ltd and state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA
(PDVSA) for a value of 8,700 billion, said Reuters.

The refinery, to be located in Jieyang in the southern province of Guangdong,
refinanción have a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day, according to the website
of the environmental monitoring agency in the country (www.mep.gov.cn).
