Rayzz,
Unless your planning on doing something illegal, why wouldn't you comply. If this would save one child's life by stopping a toothless drunken gun owner from leaving a loaded gun within reach of a child, why wouldn't you comply??? Hand guns are for one thing and one thing only and that is to shoot other human beings, they are sure as hell not for hunting.
You of course realize why they are implementing these laws don't you. Well when the American public really finds out how bad the government has screwed them with the trillions they've blown on Quantitative Easing, the Derivatives Fiasco and a Banking System with no regulators to be seen for miles, there going to start shooting at the bastards.
This is self preservation of the government officials who are responsible for this financial mess, who don't want to find themselves in the middle of civil unrest with everybody lining them up in their cross hairs. It's also a major tax grab, to say the least.
If you're an honest, law abiding gun owner, with no intentions of doing anything illegal why wouldn't you be all for it, if it provided the identity of a shooter, with the registered fingerprints on file, of a weapon that was used to kill a friend of your families, for instance. Isn't that worth it ???????
I really don't understand your (gun owners) obsession with the right to bear arms, above all costs and why you're so frightened you might those rights.
