Family Guy vetoed by the government Pdf To print Email
Friday, 25 of September of 2009

The cable operators will be sanctioned if they do not accept the order to stop relaying the animated series American Family Guy, to which the government of president Hugo Chavez accuses to defend the consumption and the legalization of the marijuana, inquired Thursday.

In Family Guy, that comes from being the first series of animation in aspiring to the Emmy prize to the best comedy from The Flintstones (the Picapiedra), “parodia becomes supposed and what there is a message abierto to the incitement to the drug consumption and the legalization of the marijuana”, it said to minister of Interior and Justicia, Tareck the Aissami.

“One is not only going away to prohibit (its emission), is going away to sanction transmits who it. It is being evaluated to act in agreement with the Law of Responsibility in Radio and Television”, declared the minister.

The series animated for adults - who are transmitted in Latin America by channel FX, of the televising group Fox usually makes references to the consumption of drugs. Brian, a dog that speaks and walks in two legs, in spite of its condition of mascot of the Griffin family, in several chapters sees him consuming cannabis and are frequent its liberal commentaries in favor of which the marijuana is legalized.
