Update on 3 DIOS Summer Drilling Programs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Jul 16, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

DIOS EXPLORATION INC. (TSX VENTURE: DOS) provides an update on three of its ongoing summer drilling programs:

URANIUM DISCOVERY ON DIOS HOTISH RESEARCH PROJECT EXTENDED TO 2.5 KILOMETERS IN THE OUTCROPPING ROCKS

DIOS discovered very recently a surface outcropping uranium bearing very altered structure now extending in the field over at least 2,5 kilometers on its wholly owned Hotish project, Otish Basin, Quebec, Canada, with radioactive counts per second up to 45 000 cps in several spots in association with intense biotite alteration. The helicopterborne spectrometric data shows a linear intense uranium anomaly over at least 2.5 kilometers by 200 to over 1 kilometer. This well defined uranium anomaly seems associated to a major fault. DIOS is undertaking diamond drilling in a few days to test the continuity of the newly discovered uraniferous structure at depth as well as along its strike extent under the tree cover. The geological model of such a geological environment is targeting high grade values in U3O8.

UPINOR DISCOVERY DRILLED - RESULTS PENDING

Following encouraging results on the UPINOR property, DIOS already completed a test drilling program of a dozen holes over the extent of the UPINOR outcropping five kilometre long uranium A zone and in section. The right radioactive rock types looked for were intercepted in the holes and they are being repeated. They seem continuous. One pegmatitic dyke is 35 meters thick. The UPINOR property is held in a fifty-fifty partnership with Sirios Resources, and DIOS is operator. Management considers at this point it is hard to evaluate this discovery without drilling assays. Samples were sent for assaying and results are pending. One hole has several tens of meters with 400 cps on the core, for instance. Rock channelling was out of the question due the element looked for in this research program. All drilling muds were recovered and put into sealed drums. An helicopter borne spectrometric and magnetic survey is currently being completed on the surrounding claim blocks, including Opinaca Nord. The geological model of such a geological environment is targeting a large volume of rocks with U3O8 values.

33 CARATS DIAMOND DRILLING PROGRAM

DIOS undertook diamond drilling of its wholly-owned 33 CARATS property to test some 15 kimberlite targets in association with diamond window kimberlite indicator mineral dispersal trains. The property is also overlying part of the Eastmain greenstone belt, hosting the Eastmain gold mine. Glacial studies completed by DIOS over the years delineated a gold dispersal trains with values up to 2 000 ppb gold in the till and pointing towards the volcanic belt on the DIOS ground. Some very preliminary field exploration recently returned local boulders (1 m by 1 m) with chert and fine grained pyrite, suggestive of gold potential as well as mafic rocks with quartz veins and chalcopyrite.

DIOS generates most of its exploration projects, from scientific conceptual design to field discovery and tries to evaluate from the start feasible economics in relation with access and facilities. Dios' strategy is to generate projects and develop them either alone or through farming out agreements, with the benefit of shareholders in mind.
