New Radioactive Zones Assays Up to 0.229% U308 on DIOS Upinor Project
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Feb. 18, 2009) - DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE:DOS) is happy to update its Fall exploration program on its 450 sq. kilometer UPINOR uranium project (owned 50%-50% in partnership with Sirios Resources) in the LaGuiche Basin, James Bay area, Quebec, Canada.

Last Fall, a mapping-prospecting program was completed to investigate the new "A-South", the "South", the "NW" zones and the extents of the several kilometre long radioactive "A1" zone on the Upinor property. A total of 120 new grab-samples were collected on the property and 25 (or 20.8%) assayed more than 0.05% U3O8, including 7 (5.8%) more than 0.10 % U3O8. The best assay was 0.229 % U3O8.

Half (61) of these samples were collected on the new radioactive ("A-South") sub-zone extending over a five kilometres-strike, just west-southwest of the previously known "A1" zone that was partly test-drilled last summer. Twelve samples (19.7%) assayed greater than 0.05% U3O8 including five (8%) greater than 0.10% U3O8, up to 0.229% U3O8.

Furthermore, the wholly new radioactive ("South") zone returned another twenty-seven samples from another area located about ten kilometres southeast of the previous zones and extending itself over a seven kilometre length. Eight samples (29.6%) yielded over 0.05% U3O8, up to 0.138% U308. The new 2008 results are shown on the map available at http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/DO... .

In addition, sixteen samples on the new radioactive "NW" zone returned five assays (31%) greater than 0.05% U308, up to 0.103% U3O8. The balance of samples were collected on the D target which appears to be the southern limb of the folded "A1" -"A South" zones, no values greater than 0.05% U308 were returned.

Upinor uranium mineralization consists of disseminated uraninite, uranophane, apatite, molybdenite and biotite in metric low-dipping pegmatite-alaskite sills/dykes injected in paragneiss. The samples were collected and prepared by IOS Geoscientifiques Inc of Saguenay, Quebec. They were assayed at the Saskatchewan Research Council.

Let us recall that "A1" zone discovered last year is characterized by an extensive radiometric anomaly well as numerous U3O8 outcrop grades ranging from 0.05% to 0.8% and more, that is over 2% uranium oxide (see 08-08-10, 08-09-18 and 08/06/05 press releases). This "A1" anomaly zone and its results are shown on DIOS website: http://www.diosexplo.com/pdfs/Carte_...

DIOS is in a good financial position and has the funds necessary to pursue its exploration programs. This press release was prepared by M.-J. Girard, M.Sc. P.Geo., a qualified person pursuant to National Instrument 43-101.
