New significant uranium discovery by Dios on Hotish

posted on Oct 13, 09 11:58PM

September 15, 2009

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA – DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX.V: DOS) reports a significant uranium discovery made by DIOS during the 2009 Hotish systematic ground prospecting and exploration program. Discovered in outcrops, the new GODZILA showing appears as a 3-4 meters wide by 25 meters long (minimum) corridor made of fractures within granitic rocks showing a N 020 strike. Within the corridor, the fracture (mm-cm) system is dominated by three main strikes and is filled by quartz-magnetite-hematite-uranophane and uraninite (uranium oxides). The fractured corridor yielded 12,000 to 44,000 counts per second (cps) of radioactivity and field measurement on RS-125 assayed between 1,013 and 9,623 ppm U (uranium in parts per million) with good Uranium over Thorium ratios (19 to 500). A 25-meter long trench was dug with hand shovels. Eight grab samples were collected and sent to laboratories (ALS-CHEMEX and Saskatchewan Research Council) for assays. Both extents of this showing remain open as they are covered by overburden. About 200 meters further north, two additional grab samples were collected from granitic rocks that returned 33,000-42,300 cps and assayed 4,190-6,687 ppm U (RS-125) with good U/Th ratios (6-7). The discovery was made up-ice of a uranium lake bottom sediment anomaly.

This significant exploration progress enhances the uranium potential of the DIOS wholly-owned Hotish uranium project, Otish Basin, QC.

DIOS is actively exploring for uranium and lithium in Quebec, two green energy sources. This press release was prepared by Marie-José Girard, M.Sc. P.Geo., QP pursuant to National Instrument 43-101. DIOS has some 34 million shares outstanding.
