Bricklin is still shooting for a 5 passenger vehicle. Chevy Volt was supposed to be 5 passenger, but they recently downsized the payload to 4 passengers because of the extra room their batteries will need. Chevrolet should check out Electrovaya's battery (more energy dense than the two that currently are in the lead contention for the Volt). Maybe then Chevy could revert back to their 5 passenger original payload target. This is just one example of how beneficial the Electrovaya battery could be to EV manufacturers. Perhaps it won't be that long before other manufacturers start paying attention to why Bricklin selected the Electrovaya battery and review their own battery selection process. PanamaMike: There is only (currently) a $5,000 difference in proposed base line cost between the 2009 VV that Bricklin says he will deliver vs the 2010 proposed delivery price of the Chevy Volt (present proposed price is $30,000).
