Message: Tesla buying out Electrovaya

In light of Tesla's ambitions to produce lithium-ion batteries, one must consider that ELECTROVAYA, a small Canadian co, has all patents to produce such batteries. More than that, EFL is already a Producer of such batteries and has signed contracts to sell them to United Arab Emerates. Sept.24/2013 Press release.

Couple of interesting points on the Tesla news that has generated so much buzz:
In the WSJ article (link below), Tesla indicates that its desire is to build a factory "that would produce finished batteries from raw materials instead of components", thereby lowering its costs.

EFL itself (on its website - link below) indicates that its nanostructured platform "does not rely on specific components", and that this characteristic "differentiates Electrovaya in an industry that more often focuses on component rather than structural innovations".
