In their may 13 2014 presentation their chart shows less than $150 per kwh to manufacture in volume. I am assuming the green car congress article is refering to the cost to buy the batteries not manufacture, so with adjusting for profit we can see that Electrovaya is competitive and I am wondering if there will be further savings with the new plant and modern equipment and manufacturing their own separators now and not outsourcing. Tesla is shown as the lowest cost per kwh at just over $250 and that is for cylindrical cells, BYD is the lowest pouch cells at just under $300 and then Nissan just under $350 and GM at just over $350. It is interesting to note that GM is supplied by LG Chem.
