Electrovaya Inc. Developed and implemented a strategic plan to identify, acquire and increase value of a portfolio of commercial and multi-unit residential real estate assets. Oversaw the operation of key investments in the hospitality and technology start-up sectors. Focused on increasing value through prudent investment, cost management and revenue growth. Realized significant gains on disposition of key assets.
Provided leadership and financial focus for this operator of the world’s largest commercial satellite network. This privately held company had acquired the assets from one of the largest bankruptcies in US history. Brought in along with CEO to lead a turnaround and lay strategic foundation for growth. Reporting directly to the CEO/Chairman and Board of Directors. Played a key leadership role in developing and executing a strategy for focused growth. Directly responsible for all financial matters as well as an operational oversight role.
Brought in to provide financial leadership for this global leader in the remote satellite communications industry, a Canadian public company (TSX: SGB). Reported directly to the CEO and Board of Directors. As a key member of the leadership team played an instrumental role in developing and executing strategy for profitable growth. Provided leadership and financial focus during a period of high growth as the company was named the fastest growing technology company in Canada and sixth in North America by Deloitte & Touche for 2001. Directly responsible for all financial matters, investor relations, treasury management and internal IT systems.
Brought in to put in place sound financial controls and reporting systems for this global leader in secure electronic financial transaction processing, a US public company (NASDAQ:EEFT) named the second fastest growing technology company in North America by Deloitte & Touche for 2000. Reported directly to the CEO/Chairman and Board of Directors. Directly responsible for all financial areas including treasury, taxation, investor relations, SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financing for the Company's US parent and seventeen international subsidiaries.
Principal Accounting Officer, Treasurer and Controller for this competitive local exchange company (‘CLEC’), a US public company (AMEX:HTC) which built out five CLEC’s concession areas as a result of the deregulation of the state-held Hungarian telecom monopoly. Reported directly to the CEO/President and Board of Directors as no CFO was in place. Provided financial leadership as the Company’s senior financial executive. Responsible for all financial related areas including treasury, SEC reporting and financial management and control of the parent and five operating subsidiaries.
Partner in Charge of a full service Management Consulting and Corporate Finance practice including: information technology; strategic services; financial management; and, mergers and acquisitions. Also responsible for selection and implementation of practice management system and financial management including introduction of systems for financial reporting, budgeting and cash control.
