http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1102003_u-k-plant-to-assemble-larger-battery-packs-for-next-nissan-leaf I posted this in Nov. of 2014 http://66.228.39.216/ir/Electrovaya/forums/discussion/topics/626433-nissan/messages/1964150#message Electrovaya has connections to the University of Warwick http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/wmg/mediacentre/wmgnews/?newsItem=094d43ed2ede6c4c012efbcc688e4b52 and http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/wmg/mediacentre/wmgnews/?tag=Ratan+Tata If they licenced electrovaya's technology to reduce the cost and utilized their own tech. along with the other partners they would have a very competitive battery. http://europe.autonews.com/article/20160121/ANE/160129975/nissan-will-produce-leafs-new-advanced-batteries-in-uk Just like Daimler, Nissan's batteries were not cost competitive but also were not that good so I don't see how they reduce cost enough. Just something to watch to see where this goes.
