AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Sincerely,

George et al

Enablence, Including Pannaway, Win Internet Telephony's 2008 Product of the Year Awards
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2009) - (TSX VENTURE:ENA) - Enablence Technologies Inc. ("Enablence"), a global leader in optical communications which provides Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) based products for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), metro and long haul markets, along with Pannaway Technologies, an Enablence Company ("Pannaway"), a leader in converged broadband access solutions are pleased to announce that two of its products - the Enablence's TRIDENT7(TM) 8-Port high density blade and the Pannaway BAS-150 Broadband Access Switch have been awarded Internet Telephony's 2008 Product of the Year Awards.

"Internet Telephony is pleased to grant Product of the Year Awards to Enablence for their 8-Port ITU G.984 GPON and to Pannaway for their BAS-150. Both teams that developed the products have proven that they are committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and Editor-in-Chief of Internet Telephony magazine. "We're proud to honor their accomplishments in the advancement of IP communications and look forward to more innovative solutions from them in the future."

The TRIDENT7(TM) 8-Port GPON High Density Blade

Ahead of its competitors, Enablence is now shipping its high density GPON 8 port blade to customers worldwide. Each GPON module provides eight GPON interfaces via Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) to serve up to 2,048 subscribers from a single chassis utilizing 1 by 32 PON split ratios. The Enablence GPON interface data rates are 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream and includes two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports that can be used to provide customers with higher capacity to meet future needs.

"The high port density, moving from 4 ports to 8 ports per blade, allows Enablence customers to reduce the capital expenditures on the central office equipment by rapidly and cost effectively expanding the number of homes serviced from the same central office equipment using the higher density blades. Our goal is to continue to provide value to our customers as we introduce these new products into the market" said Arvind Chhatbar, CEO of Enablence.

The BAS-150 Broadband Access Switch (BAS-150)

Emerging applications require the reliable high bandwidth infrastructure provided by the BAS-150. The BAS-150 allows carriers to offer dedicated services to business customers requiring T1 or Gigabit connection while effectively aggregating traffic coming from a broad set of customers into an efficient transmission towards to the network core.

"We view these awards as recognition of our innovative contributions to industry and an acknowledgement of our company's strengths. The acquisition of Pannaway further added to our strength. We are able to combine our technical and financial strength with products that meet customer needs. This coupled with our vertical integration approach provides customers with greater security of supply in the current economic condition." said Mr. Chhatbar.
