Thanks, Josephine, I had found it eventually, but its always nice when people on the forum help out.

If you read the NR closely, it says that although they announced they were letting the property go back in March of last year, under the terms of the agreement they had to keep the claim active until 2009. It did not say what part of 2009, just 2009. I'm guessing all the terms are fulfilled and they were finally able to part ways, and there are probably rules about letting investors know if a major claim is no longer on the books, whether it is actually old news or not.
