That quite a couple of postive statements by Grandich concerning EVG. And you are on the money when you see EVG land position as a positive.
Newmont's land is fee simple (old railroad checkerboard grant land) with the property boundries also the boundries of their mineral rights, if I understand correctly. Unpatented mining claims, on the other hand, confer apex rights and ore deposit which apex on your claim can be followed down dip across the claim boundries. From the view provided by EVG the Carlin property appears to have a fault sliced anticline or dome- like fold of its strata. Not only could fuilds have found their way up the faults to spead out in the host beds, but also the up and long the limbs of the folds in host strata. EVG says they see hints the gold may vector west, which appears to be the limb of a fold so that the there could be a lot of ore outside of the Newmont ground. Its no leap to think Newmont wouldn't oppose a re-negotiated deal should EVG's Carlin discovery blossom down dip or otherwise outsided the land partnered with EVG. In fact, I've no doubt Quinton has something up his sleeve other than his arm.
