Fabled Copper Corp. (CSE:FABL; FSE:XZ7) is excited to unveil the initial sampling phase on the Volt 1 Property, situated in Quebec.
Property Overview
The Volt 1 Property comprises nine contiguous cells spanning 504 hectares, with the Volt 2 Property nearby, encompassing two contiguous cells totaling 112 hectares. These properties are strategically positioned east of Miquelon, Quebec, enveloped by Mosaic Minerals Corp.'s (CSE: MOC) renowned "Lithium SM Project."
Overcoming Challenges
The spring and summer of 2023 presented significant challenges due to forest fires in northern Quebec, temporarily halting fieldwork. In late July 2023, restrictions lifted briefly, allowing for a half-day sampling program to assess various elements:
Discovery Highlights
In late July 2023, a half-day prospecting and sampling initiative commenced, with the collection of samples 28921 - 28923, spanning an area of approximately 500 meters. These samples were selected to obtain representative pegmatite samples rapidly due to the remote location of Val D'Or. It's essential to note that the three samples gathered from outcropping pegmatites along a west-trending road in the property's central sector do not necessarily reflect the property's overall potential.
The central outcrops sampled consist of fine-grained pegmatite. The majority of minerals identified include quartz, potassium feldspar, albite, and muscovite. These low-temperature crystalline (LTC) pegmatites form quickly at relatively low temperatures, resulting in large crystal sizes.
Key Discoveries
Early-stage reconnaissance in the central property region confirmed the presence of essential minerals in all three samples, including lithium (Li), cesium (Cs), tantalum (Ta), rubidium (Rb), beryl (Be), potassium (K), and niobium (Nb). Sample 28922 displayed significantly elevated levels compared to the other two samples.
Exploration Continues
Although only three samples were collected across the entire property, the central sector boasts outstanding road accessibility and extensive visible outcrops, as seen in Google Earth. A second-phase exploration program is already underway, with teams in the field.
