Ronald W. Thiessen (B.Comm)
Chairman and Director

Ron Thiessen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Chartered Accountant designation. Since the 1980's, Ron has concentrated on the development of venture capital financing for emerging public and private companies. He and his associates have completed in excess of 20 property or project acquisitions, and raised over $1 Billion in exploration financings.

J. Richard H. Whittington (P.Eng.)
President, CEO and Director

Dick Whittington is a mining engineer, with a degree from the Royal School of Mines in the United Kingdom. His experience spans over 35 years with major mining companies in Canada, Panama and Australia, involving all phases of mine evaluation and development. As a mining executive, he has participated in the full spectrum of corporate activities, including numerous feasibility studies, several mergers and acquisitions, and over $1 billion of major corporate financings.

Greg McCunn (B.A.Sc., MBA, P.Eng)
Chief Financial Officer

Greg is a professional engineer with over 15 years of domestic and international experience in the mining industry. His background includes roles in corporate development, project management and operations. Most recently, he was Vice President, Project Development for Zincore Metals and prior to that, he worked for the Hunter Dickinson group as a Senior Project Engineer. He has also worked for Placer Dome and Teck Cominco in corporate and operating functions.

Rick Irvine (BSc.Eng., BSc.)
General Manager, G-9 Mine

Rick is a mining engineer with over 18 years of industry experience in Canada, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Honduras and Nicaragua. Rick was most recently VP & General Manager for Coeur d'Alene Mines during the construction and start-up of their San Bartolomé Mine in Bolivia. He was also previously Operations Manager at Pan American Silver's Manantial Espejo Mine in Argentina during its construction. Rick holds a Bachelor degree in Geology from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor degree in Mine Engineering from Queen's University.

Dan Kilby (B.Sc.)
General Manager, Exploration

Dan has over 35 years experience and holds a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering. He has been with the Hunter Dickinson group for over 12 years on projects located in Mexico, Nevada and South Africa where he gained extensive experience in gold exploration and was involved in projects from inception to production. Prior to working with HDI, he was as co-discoverer of the Gataga lead-zinc district in northeast British Columbia.

Jorge Villasenor (B.Sc., MBA)
General Manager, Mexico

Jorge has both B.Sc. in engineering (mining and metallurgy) and MBA degrees and over 30 years of mining experience in Mexico, in both the corporate and operational spheres. His expertise was gained on the San Nicolas Project for the Mexican affiliate of Teck Cominco, the Mulatos Project for National Gold, and for Grupo México in the Cananea Mine. Previously, he was with Luisman SA de CV, initially as VP of Development and later as VP of Operations responsible for three operating units.

Jason Gregg (BBA, MBA)
General Manager, Human Resources

Jason previously worked for International Forest Products Ltd., as HR Manager where he provided oversight for all North American manufacturing sites. Prior to this he worked as HR Manager for Canadian Forest Products Ltd. where he managed all aspects of human resources for two manufacturing facilities, and prior to that he worked at Teck Cominco for 4 years as a HR Superintendent. Jason has an MBA and BBA from Simon Fraser University where he concentrated on HR Management, Finance and International Business.
