Morning All;
I've noticbly absent in the latest market foray. (Problems logging on to the site here)
It has been disconcerting to say the least, to watch the happenings of the past few weeks and the last week in particular. However, I'm inclined to agree with Jabecque, I think a lot of unseasoned investors have tucked their tails between their legs and headed for the hills. It only takes a few to light such fires of discontent and before you know it, it can become a stampede of sorts in the making. Remember, some investors have staked the whole farm on their investments and can be motivated to sell, even below market price, in order to cut their losses and to ensure the unloading of their investment. in what they perceive as do or die situtation. In reality such investors should not even be playing the stockmarket in the first place.
I'm running into the same decline with my Ivanhoe Energy stocks and I might add, over the same period of time.
Actually the goings on of the past week is enough to give any investor, seasoned or unseasoned, the jitters.
I think the problem relates to the big picture, with stocks such as FCO, IE and many others becoming caught in the tail draft and just sucked along in a negative direction. This too shall pass!
Cheers;
Brigand
