First off I would like to thank paul for the invite to express my concern on this forum. I sent a private message to Paul before I discovered this invite so I would like to re-post here for your consideration.
Hi Paul:
First off I wanted to thank all of you for your hard work and patience. I realize it cannot be easy to oversee all that goes on within the Agoracom enterprise. I posted a response to your latest posting on the Noront forum and realized I should have first brought my concerns to your attention (since I cannot go back and delete my post feel free to do so).
My concern as stated is the removal of an entire thread due to a violating post. Thread view is a very useful tool to obtain a continuous flow of a particular debate of topic without having to jump from topic to topic in list view. Of most topics there are well thought out and informative rebuttals to differing points of view. It is clear in some posts that the authors put a great deal of thought and work into their responses only to have the valuable information they choose to share be deleted for no other reason than their post is 'guilty' by association. This method of removal limits peoples ability to engage in open debate in thread mode for fear of having their hard work and insight subject to deletion due to anothers abuse of etiquette Is it not possible to simply delete the violating post without taking away the added value of real contributors who wish to present substance to this forum.
Thanx for your time and consideration
Kelly
Even though I have just received a response from Paul explaining the systems' limitation I will still post this concern in hopes that someone may have an alternative.
Thanx again
