FedEx announces 30×30 initiative to convert to 30 percent biofuels by 2030

In Tennessee, FedEx announced that it will use biofuels for 30 percent of its fuel supply by 2030, and said that it expects to utilize switchgrass and jatropha-based biodiesel as well as other advanced biofuels. The FedEx 30×30 initiative was annoucned as well as a request by CEO Fred Smith that the Obama Administartino step up efforts to support advanced biofuels R&D.
