Re GMI Ni, following was on Stockhouse today:

Fact that GMI using H&L Engineering out of Bogota, Columbia for their Cu Au Ag plant is telling as BHP Billiton own Cerro Matosa huge upgraded FeNi plant in Columbia. Cerro Matosa is much more energy efficient than Falcondo. BHP Billiton also very knowledgeable about Falcondo & its desperate need for high grade GMI Ni ORE.

Plse recall that Falcondo tolling GMI Ni into (arm's length) GMI FeNi at Falcondo needs Dominican Republic blessing which requires confidential top executive discussions.

BHP owns Queensland Ni, which Ammonia Leach treats New Caledonia Limonite. They will be on top of GMI's HP Acid Leach process especially as it promises very high Ni recoveries from both higher grade Saprolites & lower grade Limonites, also Cobalt recoveries.

Xstrata is in talks with CVRD (keen on becoming a FeNi producer) & no doubt Rio Tinto & BHP Billiton. Behind all this is China.
