VANCOUVER, April 4 /PRNewswire/ - GOLDCORP INC. (TSX: G) (NYSE: GG) announced today it will host its annual Investor Day on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 8:00am EDT.

Goldcorp's senior management team will discuss details of the mines and projects that are expected to drive 60% growth in gold production over the next five years. The Company also announced gold production of 637,600 ounces for the first quarter of 2011, with full year production for 2011 remaining on track with previously issued guidance of between 2.65 - 2.75 million gold ounces. As discussed in the Company's January 10^th news release, gold production is expected to ramp up throughout the year, driven primarily by stronger second-half production at the Peñasquito and Marlin mines.

Prior to the Investor Day, Goldcorp will also release details of a completed feasibility study update for the Cerro Negro project in Argentina. The study analyzes an approximate doubling of mill throughput from the previous owner's plans to approximately 4,000 tonnes per day.
