Speaking of cold coins, we drove to Lake Jackson this afternoon [1 hour south of Houston] to the Ron Paul rally....presidential and congressional district. WOW! Ron had to give his speech twice because 2000 couldnt get in due to crowd at the civic center. His entire family, 3-4 generations of about 30 was there and it was an orderly and VERY enthusiastic rally....no hate monger radicals.
Ron knows me well back from his coin shop days, so I had dropped my new GLORIOUS 10 [TEN] oz. gold Panda [$11K] in my pocket. I caught up with him after the second speech as he personally greeted everyone interested [many of the 5000 or so there]. He gave me a special wink/nod and intuitively said, "Did you bring anything?" That was the way he always greeted his customers back in the 80s at his shop. Ron loves coins and real money. I whipped out the coin and he said "No way!" as I handed it to him. He had not seen or was aware of this unbelievably beautiful coin. A crowd was beginning to press in so he handed it back and turned to his handlers and said, "Can we buy this with campaign funds?'......big laugh from everyone around. He is the real deal, and while the "Ron Paul Revolution" likely wont be large enough in 08, look out for 2012. He is grooming his son Rand [also a physician] IMO.
Well, as I type here at 7:28 EDT, gold has traded for nearly 90 minutes and is still over $920, with silver over $17.15, so they have yet to whack gold, and one would think it would have happened quickly. We shall see.....pic
